WELCOME TO MY BLOG

Although I now have the privelege of traveling for my job and have been able to see some sights, I still miss my friends and family immensely. Often, when I'm exploring these fabulous places, I can't help but think that it would be so much more fun if I were enjoying it with one of you. So, this blog is my way of sharing my adventures with the ones I love.

A little tip about the pictures in the slide show and in the blog: If you want to see them bigger, just click on them. Unfortunately, that doesn't work for the ones that run along the right side of the page.

Happy reading!

Blessings

Well, I've been in Hinesville, GA for 4 days now. Sometimes it seems like longer - still getting used to being away and to hotel living - but today was a great day. I had chosen a church to attend in a town about 20 minutes away. While driving there, I felt a bit dicouraged about being away from home. I was driving during a light rain, following recently expired thunderstorm and tornado warnings. I was really hoping that I would enjoy this congregation and experience a meaningful worship service today. While driving, I asked God to direct me to the right place.
Well, to my delight, the service and congregation were very similar to that of my home church! I counted at least 8 simillarities. When I looked up into the choir and saw a woman who has recently moved to the area but used to be in the choir at my home church in New Orleans, I was again convinced that God cares about the details of our lives! He truly blessed me today! Of course, (Rebekah, you'll appreciate this...) I cried throughout the service - tears of joy and comfort and relief... I know I'll be okay here!

Lynette, you remind me of Proverbs 3:6, In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. You asked for His direction, and He blessed you for doing so! I also love reading the blog/updates on what goes on in this path you have chosen at this time in your life. Will be praying for your safety & happiness! Love ya' Trish

You're right...I did appreciate that you cried! You know no one can cry in my presence without me joining them...well, this apparently applies to blogs, too...I got a little misty. Missing you, but excited to see how the Lord will use this to make you more like Him.
